SAFETY WEEK 2004

 The week of October 4-10, 2004 is designated as Safety Week for the community of Beverly Hills and the Beverly Hills Unified School District.  Safety Week is a joint project between the City, the Beverly Hills PTA Council and the Beverly Hills Unified School District.  It will conclude with a community safety and preparedness Expo at the Farmer’s Market on October 10th. 

 City Departments will be visiting Horace Mann on October 4th and October 5th to present the following:

Kindergarten:  911, Stranger Danger, Pool, Sun & Playground Safety a play by Parks and Recreation

1st and 3rd Grade:  Fire Safety, Disaster and Evacuation Plans by the Fire Department.

 2nd Grade:  Good Touch/Bad Touch –Tell an Adult by the Maple Counseling Center

 4th Grade:  Home Safety by the Building and Safety Department

 5th Grade:  CPR and First Aid by Sonia Berman

 6th and 7th Grade:  Internet Safety by the Police Department

 8th Grade:  Safety Skills Game by a UCLA Professor

 Wednesday, October 6th is International Walk to School day, so, if you are able, please walk your child to school and have your child complete the checklist to receive a prize.
